Since 1983 Rodney Hunter has been traveling to Indonesia. Over that period of time he has developed relationships with many manufacturers and suppliers producing unique furnishings. Primarily using plantation-grown and re-claimed Teak wood and incorporating traditional craftsmanship into these well designed quality items. Whether traveling to small villages in Java or outlying islands of Indonesia, Rodney Hunter succeeds in finding furnishings that share the beauty and style so rarely found in today’s commercial or home environments.
While traveling throughout Indonesia, Rodney Hunter has become well versed in Indonesian customs and language, which has enabled him to be a direct importer. He is able to source and deal directly with the manufacturers, which gives him the ability to custom design in small or large quantities and most importantly, control costs.

Some of the commercial projects supplied by Rodney Hunter are: Post Ranch Inn, Big Sur • Highlands Inn, Carmel Highlands • Bernardus Lodge, Carmel Valley • Hilton Garden Inn, Monterey • Tickle Pink, Carmel Highlands • Gallery Café, Pebble Beach • Pasadera Country Club, Monterey • Sea Ranch Lodge, Sonoma • Hotel Hana, Maui, Hawaii • Peter B’s at Portola Plaza Hotel, Monterey

With its centuries of influence from Europe, Asia and Africa, Indonesian design is truly unique on the world stage, using natural elements, and blending itself with beautiful, gracious shapes.

Hotels, resorts, restaurants, and residences have all utilized the myriad of choices available through the Rodney Hunter Furniture Collection.
